PSY2480 Mental Health Behavior Management
This course will introduce students to various maladaptive and antisocial behaviors associated with major disorders and various behavioral types and situations encountered in the mental health field. Assessment and intervention skills will be explored for disorders such as autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, antisocial personality disorder, oppositional-defiant disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance use disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as crises situations typically encountered in professional practice. Techniques for behavior and crisis management will be explored.
