NUR1411 Foundations of Nursing Concepts II

This course builds upon the foundation established in the introductory nursing course, further developing a patient- and family-centered approach to care. Emphasis is placed on the expanding roles of the nurse, application of the nursing process, and the integration of key nursing concepts across the life span. Additional focus is given to mental health concepts, pharmacology principles, and related skills. Laboratory experiences allow students to advance their psychomotor skills and apply theoretical knowledge in preparation for safe and effective nursing practice.
