NUR1401 Foundations of Nursing Concepts I
This foundational course introduces students to the essential concepts of professional nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on the nurse’s role in providing patient-centered care using the nursing process, safety principles, evidence-based practice, and effective communication. Students begin to explore pharmacology, health assessment, and foundational nursing skills. Laboratory and simulation experiences allow students to practice and demonstrate competency in basic psychomotor skills that support safe, effective care.
