NUR1041 Advanced Standing Transitions
This course supports Advanced Standing students, including LPNs, Military Medics, and Paramedics, in the transition to the role of the professional nursing student within the second year of the program. Emphasis is placed on integrating prior healthcare experience with the nursing process, concept-based learning, and the expectations of professional nursing practice. Students will review and reinforce core concepts and nursing skills from NUR 1401 and NUR 1411 and apply them through laboratory and simulation activities. This course prepares Advanced Standing students for progression into second-year nursing courses.
