Visitors on Campus

Visitors of Marion Technical College are expected to follow the College rules and policies and conduct themselves with appropriate behavior, while being respectful of campus and College operations.

For their safety, children must be under adult supervision at all times while on campus. Knowing that circumstances may arise where parenting students may need to bring their children to campus when childcare arrangements fall through, students must first receive approval from their instructor before bringing a child to class. This should be seen as an occasional, temporary accommodation by the instructor, and not a replacement for regular childcare arrangements. Disruption of classroom learning may result in the student being asked to leave class. Additionally, an instructor may deem classroom material unsuitable for children. Students should consider the safety and well-being of their child when on campus or in the classroom. Children are not permitted in lab settings for their own safety, excepting in limited circumstances for the purposes of authorized instruction (e.g. pediatric screenings within health programs). If you are struggling with accessing adequate childcare, contact the Student Resource Navigator at ern.marionmatters@gmail.com or (740) 262-8356.
