Career Services

Career Services provides services to current students and alumni who are undecided about their career goals or need assistance with the job search process. Career Services will assist students through a career plan that starts their first day on campus. Some of our services include:

  • Career assessment and counseling;
  • Classroom presentations;
  • Resume review;
  • Interview etiquette and practice;
  • Co-op/internship assistance;
  • Annual job fair;
  • Job postings;
  • Career readiness workshops.

Handshake

Handshake is an app to help students gain jobs and internships. It allows you to get connected - meet real people about real jobs through messaging, virtual and in-person events, and video chats. With Handshake, you can stay in the know - view insights, reviews, and expert advice to find jobs that are right for you. You can level up - use the tools designed to help make the most of your new job and keep growing your career.

Ohio Means Jobs

Ohio Means Jobs is the State of Ohio’s job site. This site provides a number of career resources, including online training modules, in-demand job lists, a budget calculator, and special information for veterans.

Campus Career Closet

The Career Closet is a resource available for any student or alum of Marion Technical College who is in need of professional attire, whether for a job interview, conference, dress requirement, or other professional development necessity. At the Career Closet, individuals can browse, try on, and take clothing items to keep for free. The Career Closet is housed in the Alber Student Center, making it easily accessible to the campus community.
