ENG2210 British Literature II
This course is parallel to
ENG2100, Modern American Literature. It provides a survey of British Literature from the Regency period through today. Students will read, discuss, and analyze poetry, plays and fiction by canonical authors, including Dickens, Woolf and Eliot. The course will emphasize the development of the British literary tradition, with a particular focus on situating texts in their historical and cultural context, but students will also be supported in the development of close reading and analytical skills.
