PTA1100 PTA Patient Care Skills

In this course students will learn basic patient care skills including infection control, vital sign assessment, patient positioning, draping, and transfer techniques. Students also learn and apply theories of physics in regards to proper body mechanics, gait instruction and postural analysis. Selection and fitting of assistive ambulatory devices is taught.
