Associate of Applied Science Degree

Overview

2. Create engineering drawings that meet current ANSI standards.

3. Modify engineering drawings that meet current ANSI standards.

4. Fabricate a component or assembly using CAD/CAM/CNC methods that meet dimensional and tolerance requirements as specified by a drawing.

5. Install mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.

6. Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.

7. Identify manufacturing processes used in industry.

8. Identify a suitable manufacturing process for a given application.

9. Analyze material behavior in a variety of manufacturing operations.

10. Select materials for mechanical components based on in-service loading.

11. Use data analysis/statistics and software for process improvement.

12. Adhere to safety while working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Application Requirements

  • MTC Application for Admission and nonrefundable applicable fee.
  • Final high school transcript (or GED results) and college transcripts (if applicable).
  • STEM Level 3 required to register in the first math course in the Engineering programs

  • Demonstrate college-readiness by achieving the required minimum score on a placement test, successfully completing any required college foundation courses, or satisfying other measures including but not limited to high school coursework, previous college coursework, samples of work, etc.Technology Skills Test (TST) is required. Any college foundation courses recommended by placement assessment results are also required.
