Technical Certificate

Overview

  • Interpret, create and modify mechanical and electrical drawings and details using appropriate fundamental engineering principles
  • Program/teach industrial robots manufactured from both Yaskawa Motoman and Fanuc Program
  • Interface and troubleshoot systems controlled by programmable logic controllers.
  • Follow required mechanical, electrical and environmental safety procedures.
  • Work both independently and as an integral part of a technical team.
  • FANUC Certified Education Robotics Training (CERT)

Application Requirements

  • MTC Application for Admission and nonrefundable applicable fee.
  • Final high school transcript (or GED results) and college transcripts (if applicable).
  • Successful completion of the Basic Skills Assessment (ACCUPLACER) and Technology Skills Test (TST) is required. Any college foundation courses recommended by placement assessment results are also required.
  • ACCUPLACER math score of 70 or higher or Next Generation ACCUPLACER (AAF) of 231 or higher required to take the first mathematics course in the engineering program.
